Finnish Customs awarded the Finnish Kennel Club a certificate of merit on International Customs Day at the end of January. The day's theme was communications and the sharing of information to enhance cooperation, and, in the spirit of this theme, Finnish Customs recognised persons, companies and organisations by handing out WCO Certificates of Merit.

“The Finnish Kennel Club is celebrating its 125th jubilee year under the theme Good living with dogs. As the canine sector's central organisation and key lobby group, the Finnish Kennel Club has provided various national utility dog parties a cooperation channel via its subordinate body the Utility Dog Committee and showcased the valuable input customs dogs provide to the benefit of society and individual persons,” a Finnish Customs press release said of the decision to award the certificate.

A similar certificate was also given to Finnair and Viking Line, among others.
