More than 19,000 dogs came to Messukeskus, Expo and Convention Centre Helsinki to take part in the five dog shows, breed presentations, and presentations of different dog sports at Dog Fair Finland. The fair offered versatile programme for the whole family. Government Working Dogs of the Year as well as Hero Dogs were awarded at the fair.
After covid years, the fair weekend was a success. Over three days, the fair was visited by more than 38,000 people.

Fair weekend culminated in the Finnish Winner show
Best in Show at the Finnish Winner show Voittaja 2022 was Portuguese Water Dog Aquafortis Robel The One, owners Runi and Terje Kristiansen, Norway. Best in Show judge was Harto Stockmari.
6034 dogs were entered to Voittaja 2022 dog show. 763 dogs were entered to today's Voittaja Puppy Show 2022.

341 different breeds were represented at today's show. Most dogs were entered in the breeds Finnish Lapponian Dog (92), Shetland Sheepdog (90), Whippet (84), Staffordshire Bull Terrier (76), and Dalmatian (73).
Dogs from 15 different countries participated in the show. Most foreign participants came from Sweden (336), Estonia (153), and Norway (130). Participants with the longest trip to the show came from Spain.
Best in Show Veteran at Voittaja 2022 was Spanish Waterdog Aquacrest Magic Mike, owned by Noora Haapanen, Päivi Uurtola-Kahri and Katariina Kahri. The Best in Show Veteran was chosen by Irina Poletaeva.
Best in Show Breeder's Group was a group of Miniature Schnauzers from Eija Nurmela and John Nieminen's kennel Big Paw’s, judge was Tiina Taulos.
The Finnish Champion 2022 in Junior Handling is Josefina Voutilainen. The Finnish Championship competition was judged by Saana Jansson.
According to tradition, Hero Dogs were awarded at the fair. Every year, the Finnish Kennel Club awards the title Sankarikoira, Hero Dog, to dogs that have significantly contributed to saving one or more human lives. This year, the title was granted to 28 dogs. The awards were presented on the Arena at Dog Fair Finland by Pihla Keto-Huovinen, member of Parliament and vice chair of the Finnish Parliament's working group for animal-assisted activities, Eeva Anttinen, Chair of the Finnish Kennel Club’s Council, and Jan Waronen, Sales Manager for Agria Eläinvakuutus. Beagle Best in Show at Voittaja Puppy Show 2022
Voittaja Puppy Show 2022 with more than 700 entered puppies was held today at Dog Fair Finland. Judge Pekka Teini chose Beagle Truewin Unidici as Best in Show. The dog is owned by Henri Ahvenlampi.
Dogs of the Year were awarded
The most successful show dogs, breeders, and veterans of year 2022 were awarded at the show. Show Dog of the Year 2022 is Spanish Waterdog Aquacrest Magic Mike, owners Noora Haapanen, Päivi Uurtola-Kahri and Katariina Kahri. The title Breeder of the Year 2022 went to Taina and Aki Friman's kennel Peikkovuoren with Finnish Lapponian Dogs. Veteran of the Year 2022 is Spanish Waterdog Aquacrest Magic Mike, owners Noora Haapanen, Päivi Uurtola-Kahri and Katariina Kahri.
Best in Show at the Finnish Winner show Voittaja 2022 was Portuguese Water Dog Aquafortis Robel The One, owners Runi and Terje Kristiansen, Norway. Best in Show judge was Harto Stockmari.
